New trail completed and opened

The construction of our fourth climbing course went incredibly fast: We had previously reported that construction had only just begun, but now we’re proud to announce that the course is officially open!
“We were hearing more and more requests from our visitors for a fourth, slightly less high climbing course,” says Niels Mussies, manager of the Klimbos in Garderen. “We had three incredibly exciting and challenging courses up to 18 meters high and full of thrilling obstacles, but for children and beginner climbers, this was—literally and figuratively—a bit too high a bar to clear.” With the addition of the fourth course, people can first get used to the height: it doesn’t go higher than five meters, making it easier to overcome those initial fears.
“The fourth course—which we call the Fun Course—features eight new elements and ends with a zip line. The elements you’ll encounter include a large V-shaped net, a Japanese bridge, slanted barrels, aerial islands with vines, a bridge with three seesaws, a spider web that you climb vertically along, and the vine swing, which ends in a net. To get back down to the ground, visitors take a zip line, after which there will still be plenty of time to try the other courses,” says Niels.
The climbing forest in Garderen in the Veluwe is now open every weekend and on Wednesday afternoons. You’re cordially invited to come check out the new course.
