Opening of Adventure Park Harderwijk a fact

On Thursday, July 18, Adventurepark Harderwijk on Boekhorstlaan was officially opened by Alderman van Bijsteren and Mayor van Schaijk, in the presence of more than 80 guests. The adventure park is a unique concept that cannot be found anywhere else in the Netherlands. In his speech, the mayor emphasized that the activities are a boon for both tourists and the region’s residents. “In an area we wouldn’t have spent a single euro on just a few years ago, there will soon be a concept unique to the Netherlands, to which Adventurepark Harderwijk is making a major contribution.”

Erik Kroon, owner and founder of the adventure park, describes it as the ultimate new outdoor concept. The location serves as the starting point for various activities, not only here on Boekhorstlaan but also beyond. Kroon continues: “You can explore the Veluwe and the city center directly from this location using unique modes of transportation. You can also choose to go climbing and zip-lining in the climbing forest. Not only are the activities unique, but so is the location. It’s centrally located and easily accessible. Combined with the restaurants—which are currently under construction—you’ll find everything you need here for a fun day out.”

After the mayor’s kind words, the alderman ascended to a height of 16 meters to officially mark the opening. He did this by jumping down (Free Fall). Of course, it was done safely—though not without a rush of adrenaline—and he managed to land right on the park’s center mark, officially inaugurating Adventurepark Harderwijk. Afterward, attendees had the chance to try out the activities and network while enjoying some snacks and drinks.
