Group 8 camp doesn't happen, now what?

For many 8th-grade elementary school students, it’s a real bummer. Their musical can’t go on, and the end-of-year camp has been canceled. It’s a bummer for thousands of kids who were eagerly looking forward to the camp—a camp filled with parties, staying up all night, and spending time together in an unfamiliar place.
With our climbing forests in Garderen and Harderwijk, we always have lots of schools visiting us during these weeks. Some stay at nearby group accommodations and ride their bikes over. Others stay a bit farther away and take the bus. It’s a constant coming and going—and always so much fun! And yes, we really miss those enthusiastic kids too!
That’s why we’re seeing many parents taking matters into their own hands and organizing a day trip for their 8th-grade kids. Erik Kroon, owner of SOS Events and the climbing forests, has also noticed this trend. His own daughter is in 8th grade, so he came up with a few package deals. “A day trip isn’t quite as much fun as camp, of course, but the options we’re offering now are really popular. We’ve created a package especially for 8th graders that includes rock climbing, archery, and a cool smartphone game. All of this can take place in and around our climbing forests. And, of course, lunch is served at our large, tall picnic tables.
