Education in Klimbos Garderen

Klimbos Garderen has established a special partnership with Staatsbosbeheer.
The plot of land where the climbing forest is located belongs to Staatsbosbeheer, and we are therefore very proud of the final result.

Staatsbosbeheer’s goal is to help people enjoy nature more, in various (active) ways. “A climbing forest is a perfect example of this,” according to Staatsbosbeheer.

New to the Garderen Climbing Forest are the educational displays suspended throughout the site. Not at ground level, but—you guessed it—suspended along the course.
Participants who are climbing receive educational information about the nature they’re seeing at that moment. The various birdhouses also provide a better picture of the wildlife in the Veluwe.
For the children, there’s a questionnaire they can fill out later, combining the educational experience with the climbing. Klimbos Garderen has put together various school field trip packages and, in collaboration with the Bomentuin and Landgoed Schovenhorst, has developed an educational program for the youngest visitors. Thanks to its comprehensive nature experience—including educational elements— Klimbos Garderen is truly one of a kind.
